AEdigo Privacy Policy

Welcome to AEdiGo! We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our platform or use our services.

AEdigo Inc. (“ AEdigo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your information when you access or use our services, including the  AEdigo platform, website, and related tools (collectively, the “Services”). By using the  AEdigo platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

AEdigo collects information that you provide when creating an account, applying to or posting a project, updating your profile, or communicating with other users. This may include your name, email address, phone number, professional qualifications, resume, certifications, and messages exchanged within the platform. We also collect data related to payment methods, billing, and payout preferences, though financial transactions are processed through third-party providers. In addition, we may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, access logs, and device identifiers. AEdigo uses cookies and similar technologies that are essential to platform functionality. We do not currently use marketing cookies or behavioral tracking tools for advertising purposes. If we introduce such technologies in the future, users will be notified and provided with choices to manage their preferences in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including obtaining explicit consent where required.

Users may also upload files, project documents, drawings, certifications, or other materials that contain personal or sensitive data. AEdigo does not monitor or extract personal information from uploaded content except as strictly necessary for platform moderation, compliance, security enforcement, or as required by applicable law. Metadata, filenames, or embedded data may be processed in connection with fraud prevention and dispute investigations.

In some cases, AEdigo may facilitate or host live conversations, interviews, meetings, or messaging exchanges between users as part of the project discovery, vetting, or service process. These interactions may involve personal, professional, or proprietary information voluntarily disclosed by either party. Users are solely responsible for the content they share during such exchanges.

If AEdigo offers or enables features to record interviews or meetings, including optional AI-assisted note-taking or transcription, all participants will be notified in advance and must provide any legally required consent before recording begins. By choosing to proceed with a recorded session or to enable AI note-taking, participants acknowledge and agree that (a) the content may be stored and processed by AEdigo or its service providers for the purposes of providing the service, (b) AEdigo is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of transcriptions or notes generated by AI, and (c) AEdigo disclaims liability for any use, disclosure, or reliance upon such content beyond what is required by applicable law.

If third-party tools or platforms are used to conduct or record interviews (e.g., video conferencing services), users are subject to the privacy policies and terms of those providers.

While AEdigo implements reasonable security measures for platform interactions, users are responsible for the content they choose to share during interviews or communications, whether initiated within or outside the platform. AEdigo's liability for information shared during such interactions shall be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to operate the AEdigo platform, match users with suitable freelance or project opportunities, enable secure financial transactions, and provide support. This includes maintaining your user profile, facilitating project discussions, handling payments via Stripe and other processors, ensuring platform security, preventing fraud, resolving user disputes, and fulfilling our legal obligations. AEdigo does not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not currently use your personal data for third-party advertising. If we choose to introduce platform-related marketing, promotional offers, or personalized recommendations in the future, we will do so in compliance with applicable data protection laws and provide you with appropriate notice and control options.

AEdigo may use data to improve platform recommendations or user matching. These processes may involve algorithmic logic or automated sorting but do not constitute endorsements, guarantees of success, or assurances of fitness for any project. Users are responsible for independently vetting all engagements.

Users may receive service-related announcements or product updates. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time via your account settings or by contacting support@aedigo.com.

3. Information Sharing with Third Parties

To deliver our services, AEdigo shares necessary user information with select third-party providers. These may include Stripe for payment processing, time-tracking software such as Hubstaff (where applicable), and infrastructure or analytics vendors supporting the platform’s functionality. These partners process your data as our data processors in accordance with our instructions and their privacy policies, subject to appropriate data processing agreements that ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws. AEdigo does not sell your data or authorize any unrelated use of your information beyond operational necessity.

By using AEdigo, users acknowledge and accept that third-party vendors operate under their own privacy, security, and compliance policies. While AEdigo carefully selects and monitors its service providers, we cannot be held liable for their independent actions beyond our reasonable control, subject to applicable law. Users are encouraged to review third-party terms where applicable.

4. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to access, review, correct, port, and request restriction of processing of the personal information associated with your account. Where applicable under local law, you may also have the right to object to processing and withdraw consent. You may also request the deletion of your data or closure of your account, subject to our need to retain certain information for legal, compliance, or operational reasons. Requests to access, update, or delete your personal data must be submitted to support@aedigo.com. To protect user privacy, AEdigo may require identity verification before processing such requests. This may include confirming your email address, requesting photo ID, or other reasonable verification measures. If we are unable to verify your identity, we may deny the request for security reasons. We aim to respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe, consistent with applicable data protection laws.

While we respect deletion requests, AEdigo may retain certain user data for up to 24 months after account closure, or longer if specifically required by law, to comply with applicable legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution obligations. This includes transactional records, identity verification logs, and project-related communications.

5. Data Security

We take data security seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, accidental loss, or misuse. Our safeguards include encryption, secure storage, controlled access procedures, regular security assessments, and employee training on data protection. While  AEdigo makes every effort to protect your data, no digital system is entirely immune from risk, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a known data breach involving your personal information, AEdigo will notify affected users as required by applicable data protection laws. Users are encouraged to use strong passwords and update them regularly to reduce security risks.

6. Children’s Privacy

AEdigo is designed for use by individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect or store information from minors. During registration, users affirm that they are at least 18 years old. AEdigo will take action to deactivate or restrict accounts found to be in violation of this age requirement.

7. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal obligations, or data practices. In the event of material updates, AEdigo will provide notice through the platform or by email. Users who do not agree with material changes to this Privacy Policy may close their account or contact AEdigo to request account deactivation. For material changes requiring explicit consent under applicable law, we will obtain your consent before implementing such changes. For other changes, continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acknowledgment of the revised terms.
